David Foster Presses the Golden Buzzer for Gerphil Geraldine Flores on Asia’s Got Talent

Anyone who’s been watching Asia’s Got Talent can truly attest to how difficult it is to get the approval of Grammy-winning composer David Foster. In recent episodes, he has even gone so far as to clarify how good and great talent differ for him. Sensing this, it really pulls a nerve for contestants to try and prove to Foster why he should say yes to them.

Fortunately for a 24-year old Filipina singer, it did not only take her talent to convince Mr. Foster of why she should be in the competition—he went as far as pressing the golden buzzer; which automatically advances the chances of Gerphil Geraldine Flores onto the competition. By pressing the golden buzzer, Flores no longer has to worry about passing the next stage of the competition as it has made her a semi-finalist.
“That’s what I’m talking about right here.”
“You did not disappoint anybody in this room. It was really a solid performance. Your pitch is great, and I hate people who sing out of tune. You sang really in tune. Good going!”
Flores performed the classical “Speak Softly, Love” by Andy Williams on her audition; which garnered her a standing ovation from the four judges (Vanness Wu, Melanie C, Anggun, and Foster) and the audience. Other than Foster, the other judges voted a ‘yes’ for the singer.

Flores also competed in ABS-CBN’s local version of the competition ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ in 2010 but only finished as a semi-finalist. The winner of the competition was Jovit Baldivino.

Nakaka proud ba or hindi?
